1. For Software Developers – Tracient's PadlR product provides the hardware tool for rapidly developing and testing an NFC application. Our Bluetooth enabled wireless reader comes with software application interfaces and drivers to support development on Java enabled phones that comply to MIDP 2.0 and JSR-82 (Bluetooth Stack). In addition Tracient bundles simple applications to quickly associated data with tags. Windows Mobile Smartphones are also supported with WinCE (.NET) firmware and a range of supported Bluetooth Stacks. Combined with a phone the PadlR provides a two piece solution that bridges the gap between RFID/NFC functions and the capabilities of today’s mobile phones.

2. For testing the market and trialling your application Tracient's first generation RFID/NFC module, the Modul-R HF provides a convenient way of pairing to your phone to give a “one-handed” device” suitable for “waving” at NFC enabled, posters, catalogues, restaurant tables and a vast array of other “passive” objects. The ModulR-HF comes in a convenient pack of 10 along with self adhesive paper label tags that can be affixed to objects. The module pack allows you to perform market surveys and focus group testing of NFC applications. 3. Full scale Deployment means you will need NFC enabled phones that are targeted for high volume consumer applications. Tracient has taken a leap forward to facilitate the widespread adoption of NFC by creating an ultra slim accessory that fits to the phone turning it into a one piece platform for NFC applications. Tracient’s NFC “Sliver” incorporates true NFC mode capability, cryptographic support, and supports peer to peer and SIM friendly operations with smart objects. The Sliver will enable a host of applications such as:

• proof-of-service - validating operations and actions by workers such as cleaners, waiters, or repair personnel.
• proof-of-collection - ensuring that items are safely conveyed into the guardianship of others by couriers, transport workers, lawyers and document managers
• proof-of-delivery - knowing that objects arrive at the intended destination from fast food to air freight, car rentals to pharmaceuticals
• proof-of-attendance – validating security patrols, access control, or perhaps a conference or a concert event.
• and many others including vending, information systems, ticketing, loyalty and membership, service discovery, language translation, trading cards, gaming, event notification, authentication, and information data synchronisation.

The device comes in two forms: unpackaged for OEM or ODM organisations wanting to incorporate the module into their appliance or device and in a packaged form to selected resellers and solution providers for large scale bundling with phone products.
